Drinking water production treatment

Hollow fibre ultrafiltration systems are the ultimate resource in the production of safe drinking water from rivers, surface and spring waters. The system was designed for the municipal, private and industrial sectors.

This new technology offers a safe and reliable solution in alternative to conventional sand filters, guaranteeing a uniform and superior quality of water.

Ultrafiltration is a physical treatment that allows for the removal of suspended solids and bacterial load and the elimination of turbidity in a single step, maintaining the mineral balance of the water.

Reverse osmosis machines

On difficult waters these systems can be used as pre-treatment to reverse osmosis. Unlike traditional systems, with gravity filters,  a hollow fibre membrane ultrafiltration plant allows the attainment of:

  • Stable quality of the permeate
  • Reduction in the SDI level, turbidity, TSS and colloidals
  • increase in useful membrane life and reduction in energy

The automatic functioning of these systems by means of an integrated HMI operator panel  simplifies maintenance operations and allows a constant distance control of the machinery. The system is composed of a primary pre-filtration for the elimination of rough solids, after which the water flux is conveyed at low pressure to the hollow fibre ultrafiltration modules that act as an absolute barrier to particles larger than 0,01 microns.

Such systems, unlike reverse osmosis systems, avoid the elimination of water minerality.
